Peugeot 308
In August, there were 7.482 lease cars delivered, an increase of 4 percent compared to August 2013 with 1.196 pieces. However, this is not enough to catch up.

This is according to figures from VWE, edited by AUMACON. After eight months, the leasemarkt this year on 64.286 registrations, compared to 65.517 units in the first eight months of 2013, a decrease of 1.9 percent. However, the expectation is that the leaseregistraties in the coming months even further behind are to come; last year, in the last quarter, after all, still unusually high numbers of lease cars will be delivered as a result of time expiring tax breaks.

Market leader Volkswagen knows its market share in the leasesegment this year to marginally improve from 12.5 percent last year to 12.7 percent this year. Peugeot occupied – thanks to the 308 – now the second place in the leasesegment with a market share of 8.8 percent (this was last year, 7.2 percent). Renault is this year, no further than 8.2 percent, a considerable decrease of 12.2 percent in 2013, when they still could lean on it (14%)success of the Megane estate. Skoda and Mitsubishi are this year’s fastest risers in the leaserijders by, respectively, the (14%) and Octavia Combi and the (7%) Outlander.
