The High Performance Drive-E Concept, Volvo makes use of Triple Boost technology, allowing the four-cylinder model is particularly potent.
It is a sequel to the Drive-E technology from 2013, with Volvo advanced with emissieverlagende turbotechniek. Earlier used Volvo “Twin-Charging” technique on their viercilinders. The powertrain consists of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 320 hp. This is, however, supported by two turbos, which, in their turn, get help from an electrically-driven turbo, so the two hoofdturbo’s faster speed.
Two fuel pumps generate a fuel pressure of 250 bar. By this combination of techniques is, according to Volvo no noticeable turbogat, while understand that turbogat a major problem is with regard to the pleasure of driving according to Volvo.
We completely agree, and now just as quickly in a V40 or tasty V60 scoop up that block, so we also had a bit of fun. Tack!
