The Traffic Information Service is of the opinion that police often result in unnecessary traffic disruption. According to the service to the local police, not to the arrangements made for traffic jams and dangerous situations to avoid.

Figures from the VID it appears that since november fifteen times that arguably went wrong by flashing or kentekencontroles. By these checks were long traffic jams. The VID observes that this is only the cases where it was obvious that the files by the controls emerged, but that it is definitely more common that controls to delay lead. According to the service is not always clear, causing a traffic jam.

The appointments are according to the VID is very clear: if a control traffic interferes with this should be shut down. These agreements are made between the road authorities and the police. Often this does not happen, and brands the flitsagenten the delay itself is not on. Even after requests of Rijkswaterstaat refuse checks, sometimes their stuff to address, despite earlier agreements and criticism from politics.

And that’s why the VID is angry. One has no difficulty with controls, but these need to be set up so that the chance of a file is limited. If there is still traffic jam monitoring must immediately be broken up, thus the VID.
