In three-quarters of the country were gritting the road tonight to our roads of a layer of road salt. Brace yourself, winter is coming!

Not everywhere was sprinkled last night but on risky places, such as bridges and overpasses. In some regions one has, however, just all the roads of a layer of road salt. In Twente was the last night -5,5 degrees to the ground and also on the Veluwe were temperatures below zero are measured.

On the highways for as far as known, no crazy things happened, Rijkswaterstaat has preventive sprinkled where needed and, of course, you all good, and the winterbandjes mounted. With the winter coming again, however, beware of blown the coming weeks. As you know three flakes of snow in this country is enough for a true verkeersinferno. When that will happen? In the whole country, there is tonight chance of wet snow, in some places, there is even chance of a white blanket that remains, if you are the Veluwe and The Hilly hills must, take blankets, a tent, a St. Bernardhond (with such a cute keg around his neck), tea light candles, a snowplow, provisions for a month and don’t forget a lot of jerry cans with fuel hoarding. You just never know.
