Just came and brought us the sad news played, that former formula 1 driver Andrea de Cesaris today is death.

De Cesaris was during his fourteen seasons-long F1 career but less than 208 times at the start of a Grand Prix. That none of these starts resulted in a win, it is to this day a record.

The Italian driver drove during his career, among others, for the teams of Tyrrell, Alfa Romeo, McLaren, Jordan, Ligier and Sauber. Although there is never a victory was achieved, the Cesaris up to five times the podium and he knew for nine of the ten teams where he came from to score points.

Andrea de Cesaris died as a result of a motorcycle accident. He is 55 years old.
