A look back at the 30 editions of the Lamborghini Gallardo

After a decade of Gallardo-entertainment is the cloth cases for the Italian. The design of zuiderbuur Luc Donckerwolke is beautifully age hit, but it was indeed time to give him his rest to make way for the Huracán.

GALLARDO

1. First generation Gallardo (2003, Geneva)

The basis for this. A sportcoupé with a V10 with 4961cc content, based on Audi’s 4,2-Litre V8 that again when Cosworth was developed. It was the beginning of a long series of Gallardopret.

2. Gallardo SE (2005, 250 copies)

Two years after its introduction was Lamborghini with the Gallardo SE (Special Edition), a limited version with shorter switching times, the 0-100 km/h time of 4.2 to 4 seconds brought. The top speed was 315 km/h and the power is increased from 500 to 520 hp.

3. Gallardo update (2005)

The original Gallardo was a tad sharper to his supercarcredentials where to make, so was the steering adjusted, and got the Gallardo 520 hp.

The bakverhoudingen were reduced (Lamborghini has notoriously long gears) and there was a different exhaust system fitted. The torque (510 Nm) peaked in addition, a bit earlier in this variant (4.250 instead of 4,500 rpm). The result: 0-100 went two tenths quicker (in 4.0 instead of 4,2 sec).

4. The first Gallardo Spyder (2005, Frankfurt)

As of 2006, there could be also open to be driven with 520 hp. The unveiling took place at the IAA 2005 in Frankfurt.

5. Gallardo Nera (2006, Paris, 185 copies)

Black speciaaltje (Nero Serapis and Nero Noctis) with Ad Personam-goodies. Unveiled in september 2006 and is popular with American rappers.

6. Gallardo Momo (12 copies)

Training exercise of the Diablo VT Roadster Momo (1999), this time applied on a Gallardo.

7. Gallardo Superleggera (2007, Geneva)

In march 2007 presented the Lamborghini the very first Gallardo Superleggera, with 10 horses extra (530 hp), but 100 kg less.

So far remained reasonably within the limits with the special models, but from the second quarter of Gallardo’s life was Lamborghini only really loose.

GALLARDO LP560-4 AND THE LIKE

8. Gallardo LP560-4 (2008, Geneva)

A year after the Superleggera was Lamborghini with a major facelift of the now 5-year-old Gallardo. The engine capacity was increased to 5.204 cc, got the car 560pk and 540 Nm, and direct fuel injection. The maximum torque was at a much higher speed, namely 6.500 rpm.

Also, the addition LPxxx-y added, where LP for Longitudinal Posterior (motor long), ‘x’ to the power in PS displays, and ‘y’ is the number of powered wheels.

Also the kit made good ornamental with Gallardo’s, sometimes waen this donated vehicles, sometimes just temporarily lent stuff. These were, of course, no separate models, so they get no number.
