Two innovative systems that the EV-rider to be pampered, but how does it work and what can we in the future?

It goes to proefballonnetjes so do not expect that both of those ideas soon, for the masses are available. Nevertheless, it is worthwhile to use both techniques to add light.

V-Charge

This system can, in short, your electric car fully autonomous parking. That’s where the fun is still not on, because with V-Charge is looking for you EV also immediately go to a charging point, so that the battery pack in return is being charged. The only thing that the driver needs to do is the system will activate with an app. Then you can make your car, simply leave at the entrance of the parking lot.

Probably do you just as we wonder whether the system also with non-autonomous traffic (so with people of flesh and blood behind the wheel) can handle. However, there is also to thought. Using sensors, the car can be equipped with V-Charge his way, cameras will do the rest. Many modifications to the parking seem therefore not to be necessary. In addition, it lowers the back pain steekwerk in tight car parks and take the chance on lumps immediately.

These cameras provide a 360° view around the car, the server of the parking space via a map to where the empty spot(s) to find. There is thus no use is made of GPS, which comes in handy in parking garages.

Explanation about the operation of the system check you in the video below.

e-smartConnect

A highly automated snellaadsysteem. So we can e-smartConnect is still the best way to describe. Volkswagen will within the foreseeable future EV’s launch with a range up to 500 km, and that requires larger accupakketten. Big downside of this development is, of course, the (even) longer loading time, but through e-smartConnect is a robotic stick for put.

Speed loaders often make use of thick and heavy cables, which is therefore slightly more clumsy to use. e-smartConnect makes use of a real robotic arm that automatically the DC connector into the car plug. Pair that with, for example, an automatic parkeerfunctie as described above, and you understand that loading has never been a piece of cake.

Cameras on the robot arm determine the exact location of the car, which in turn communicates with the charging station. The robot plug-in will then automatically plug in the EV. As soon as the accupakketen charged, disconnect the arm itself and makes the car place for the next candidate that could do with some juice.

In that way, the human link from the process taken and that’s fine. People can make mistakes and, moreover, is your car charging is not a exciting experience.
