Holy oplaadstekkers, what a retarded thick device!
At the annual meeting for sporting headgear at the Wörthersee, Volkswagen just another hot Wave dropped. In addition to the Golf GTI Clubsport and the Golf GTI Performance, they show a partly electrified pk-cannon: the Golf GTE Sport Concept.
Hybrid porn
He has at first sight little in common with the original Golf GTE. What he has is the 1.6-liter four-cylinder from the Polo WRC under the hood, good for 299 hp and 400 Nm of torque. This is assisted by two electric motors. One between the engine and the DSG gearbox, good for 115 hp & 330 Nm, and one in the back, which is 115 hp and 270 Nm at the rear rubbers are shot. Via a magic sum is the total power of 400 hp, with a maximum torque of 670 Nm.
On the outside of this milieuriddertje on steroids – in hybrid mode does it 2l/100km – it even heavier. With a carbon fibre body, extremely wide wheel arches, folding doors, paper-thin light clusters and a centrally placed double-barreled exhaust. If this is the pants of Lake-goers to not do the bulbs we don’t know what more. Inside is not much less extreme. The two seats are separated from each other and send with half a steering wheel, behind which the info is shown on three transparent screens.
If all sources of energy in the Volkswagen Golf GTE Sport Concept at maximum power (“GTE Mode”) dustiness this stekkerraket in with 4.3 seconds to 100 km/h to 280 km/h only to stop accelerating. You can also use the electric drive, then comes 50 kilometres on a single charge.
Is this in production? No, not that, but maybe we will see the basis of this powertrain ever come back into the Gulf.
