The car seems to almost geCGI’d to be at the Dubai Autodrome. Yet, he is real, and bloedjesnel.

The W motors Lykan Hypersport, the first Arabian supercar, blows like a fresh wind through the desert. It is again something else than the bugattis, Koenigseggs and Pagani’s daily through the streets of Dubai for the most expensive hotels, boutiques and restaurants to stop, and for that exclusivity, it must be very deep in the pouch to be scanned. The car has a price tag of 2.5 million euros!

For that money you get one of the seven copies, each with a beautiful (European) futuristic design, holographic display, and a finishing with gold, platinum and diamonds. Then comes the “soft” 3.7-liter six-cylinder boxermotortje in the back as a bit of a disappointment with “only” 750 hp and 1,000 Nm of torque. If you want more power and less luxury? Then wait a moment for the Supersport.

The production version of the Lykan Hypersport was two weeks ago unveiled at the Dubai International Motor Show. In order to show that he was also really nice performance (0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and to a top of 395 km/h), the overpriced car is released on to the Dubai Autodrome.
