IMSA (International Motor Sports Association) was a racing series that, especially in the USA, is widely known in enjoyed. It yielded a number of very cool racers on brands such as Porsche, Chevrolet, Alfa Romeo and Audi, we have a fine selection of photos of together!

The IMSA series were, in principle, in four classes divided. First, there was the GTO class, cars with more than 2.5 litres of engine capacity which is pretty much of street-legal car, for example, the Corvettes and Mustangs were in this series popular. The GTU class was a class with cars that have less than 2.5 litres engine capacity, like the Porsche 914 and the Mazda RX-7. Furthermore, there were the TO and TU class, with the same rules in regards to engine power but then it went to cars in the Touring class such as the Camaro.

Really cool was when the GTP (with the P of the prototype cars, there came, later there were also the IMSA Lights (lighter prototypes) and the World Sports Cars: prototypes without roof, with engines that are not specifically for racing were built but their origin in straatmodellen knew. The IMSA series was finally in 2001 by Don Panoz purchased and who has been let go in the ALMS or American Le Mans Series. The IMSA series have given us, however, a number of very fat racers was completed and we wanted to the next ten cars like to share with you.
