Subaru, certainly for the Netherlands, the strange duck in the bite. In terms of technique takes on Subaru, just a different path than the rest of the manufacturers.
So have all of the Subaru’s standard symmetrical all-wheel drive and use the Japanese only boxer engines. Because the cylinders lay horizontally instead of upright, the center of gravity lower. This generation of Legacy is the fourth and this saw the light of day in 2003. Only at the end of the life cycle there were diesel engines, but that had the first model years serious teething problems.

- Only a handful has a diesel engine and also a number of on LPG.
- A quarter has an automatic gearbox.
- 30% has a navigation system.
- Slightly less than a quarter has leather trim.
- Two-thirds has heated seats.
- Prices start at 6,000 euros.
Pros
- Standard all-wheel drive.
- Boxermotoren.
- Good scores in Euro NCAP crash tests.
Issues
- By standard all-wheel drive, the fuel consumption what higher.
- Parts and maintenance can be expensive.
- Bearings, rear wheels wear out faster, caution, noise.
- Button bestuurdersraam to stick to it.
- In diesel engines for 2010 two fatal problems: the lubrication can be disrupted by errors during manufacturing, and the crankshaft has too little clearance. In an extreme case, may even break. Often there is under warranty for a new engine came in.
