“Still hongerdoden in Madaya’

There are still dying inhabitants of the besieged Syrian town of Madaya by malnutrition. Also, there would be no doctors present in the city, warned Doctors without Borders (Msf).
Since the arrival of the last convoy with relief supplies earlier this month, according to Msf a further sixteen people have died in Madaya. The organization calls it,is unacceptable” that still inhabitants are dying due to malnutrition and seriously ill people have not been evacuated.
The situation in Madaya is not isolated. According to the organisation to sit in across Syria, an estimated 1.5 to 2 million people stuck in places that are besieged by government forces or opposition groups. In many places the supply of relief goods impossible, says Msf.
