Seven iconic Porsches from the 70s

Great fun, that iconic ferraris from the seventies and eighties, but some people have more with the prancing horse from Stuttgart. Time to a couple of iconic Porsche cars from the years ’70 in the limelight.
Porsche 914-6 GT (1970)
The underappreciated gem of a Porsche, the 914. Dive Autoscout24.nl and you will find them around the 10,000 euro. The 914 emerged from a collaboration with Volkswagen and was originally the idea of a four-cylinder version of the mid-engine sports car as a Volkswagen to sell, and the Porsche badge on a six cylinder version to paste. Finally, Porsche the board of management of Volkswagen so crazy to get the car exclusively as a Porsche to sell. The 914-6 GT was the version for rallies and racing came on the market in 1970 with a 2.0 liter Carrera 6 engine, and had in some cases up to 210 bhp under the right pedal. Porsche 912E (1975)

Porsche 917 (1970)
One of the most iconic racers ever: the Porsche 917 is the car that caused the Porsche for the first time, the overall profits picked up during the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1970 (and 1971). The sprint to 100 in this racer went down in 2.3 seconds and the top speed of the thing is 390 kilometers per hour.
Porsche 924 Turbo (1978)
The by Harm lagaay family signed the 924 was originally intended for Volkswagen, but was (like the 914) by Porsche annexed, in this case, after Volkswagen of production was abandoned. And because the aforementioned 914 at Porsche from the shelves disappeared, there had to be a new entry-level model coming below the 911. The 924 Turbo came on the market in 1979 because there is more power to be asked by customers. The 2.0 liter Audi four-cylinder engine got a turbo, so the hp increased from 125 to 170. Other wheels, a hood scoop, lucas and some holes in the nose meant that the 924 Turbo a sportier appearance.
Porsche 928 (1978)
Also designed by lagaay family and originally intended as the successor for the 911 was the 928. Ferdinand Piëch wanted a V10 in the nose hang but in the end, there are different variants V8 in the cabin. The basic version with 4.5 litre V8 produced 240 hp and 363 Nm of torque. The 928 remained eventually until 1995 in production, there were slightly more than 61.000 pieces produced.
Porsche 911 (930) Turbo (1975)
The Porsche 930 was the first 911 Turbo was born out of a homologatiewens for racecars as the 934 and 935. The turbotechniek was borrowed from the 917/30 CAN/AM racer, and applied to the engine of the Carrera RS 3.0, which led to the internal name 930. The first 930 was due to the turbo 260 hp, but the best seventies Turbo is probably the 3.3 Turbo from 1978, with 300 hp. Porsche 935 (1976)

By the enormous turbocharger on the six-cylinder engine, there was a great turbogat, what a lot of spectacle provided in the form of fireballs on circuits: the 935 was soon a favourite with the public. Some 935’s got 800 horsepower, which in combination with the weight of 970 kilograms absolutely insane it must have been to drive. The most famous 935’s are probably those of Kremer and the “Moby Dick”.
Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 (1973)
RennSport. Yes bitte. The ultimate classic 911! The Carrera RS was a 2687 cc engine with 210 horsepower under the butt, wider wheels, larger brakes, and if you ‘m as Leichtbau ordered weighed it yet but 975 pounds. There are also 49 instances built with a 300 hp strong 3.0 engine in 1974, but the 2.7 has a bit more charm.
