It can do: primarily an electric car with a plug-in hybrid. To show that you really not that much extra hassle to do, Sven rode Glasow 10 days in a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV with a sealed fuel tank (capacity: 45 litres).
The distance he has traveled amounted to 2.943 km. What may be a record, because in practice too few are electrically driven, with plug-in hybrids. That is not necessary, Glasow planned his routes through the stations. With his father he drove for 10 days through Germany and stopped only to load. After 7 days the tank of gas still untouched. Glasow says:
At a given moment, you will learn the technology know. In the Stuttgart region, there are, for example, a lot of mountains. Every time the Outlander downhill roll, loading the batteries and the range. That also applies for the traffic in the city. I have actually not more inhibited, but only with the recuperatiehendel worked.
The only problem Glasow discovered was that foutparkeerders the public charging stations blocked. It is a good thing that the Outlander plug-in hybrid is not fully dependent on his batteries, but also an engine on petrol on board to take it to the next charging station to the rescue.
