Last night, Christophe de Margerie (63), which since 2007 led the French olieconcern Total, in a bizarre plane crash at an airport in Moscow killed. Also, the 3 members of his privévliegtuig did not survive.
Shortly after midnight (local time) collided with the aircraft with 3 passengers at Vnukovo Airport on a snowplow. It was on the way back to Paris, so it seems that the collision during the take-off has taken place, because during the taxiing, the damage would be so significant.
Total make confirmed the tragic death of its CEO, a few hours ago in a short statement. About the fate of the driver of the snowplow is not news.
It is not yet clear who in the aftermath of the tasks of the Margerie will perceive. Perhaps this is Total’s Senior Vice-President, the Dutchman Maarten Scholten.
UPDATE 1: reportedly there was alcohol in the game. “We have established that the driver of the snow plow was in a state of alcoholic beneveling”, this is the smooth statement of the Russian investigative committee.
UPDATE 2: also the director of the scrubber has died, his lawyer (which he apparently had) contradicts the fact that his client was drunk.
