Why are Americans called the Honda S660 and not us?

Do you know, that nice sports car that Honda earlier this year presented? That is a resounding success in Japan, and Honda is now considering seriously the S660 in America to sell. But why there and not here?
In the name is the Honda S660, of course, a tribute to the S500, S600, and S800. Small sports cars of Honda with a motorbike engine for with engine displacement equal to the name and very modest proportions. Between 1991 and 1996, it built Honda also the Beat, a small sports car, according to the kei car rules. Visually, the S660 again clearly related to it.
Just like the Beat also suits the S660 to the rules and regulations for kei cars: engine capacity up to 660cc and a maximum size of 3,400 to 1.480 inches. Honda makes maximum use of these rules with an exact 660cc-measuring driecilindertje with 68 hp and exterior dimensions of 3.395 at 1475 mm.
Honda is mixed-excited about the results that they book with the S660. All 8600 production locations for 2015 are already gereserverd, only in October, Honda new orders (costs: circa € 15,000). However, it is the buyer audience ‘something’ older than Honda expected, and had wanted: 80 percent is older than 40. And that is pretty old for a car that is designed for smooth Japanese younger.
Or to America, not to Europe?
Driven by the success, is now seriously considered for the S660 in America to continue to deliver. Or is there a post-big mac now-generation risen up themselves in small cars will drive, or Honda makes a serious error of judgement. Since the slogan ‘there’s no substitute for cubic inches’ is still timely in Murcia, Honda is plan the S660 to equip with a 1000cc-transistor with a turbo and about 127 hp.
Plans for the car to Europe there are not and that is unfortunate. It is exactly here that we love small cars and affordable sports car we see. Just with the 64pk-strong driecilindertje please, that’s fun for the tax. Hands up who is even more of a S660 will!!!
