Space Agency NASA has published a video demonstrating the testing of the parachute system the lander Dragon. Tests are an important part of a test program required for issuance of the company Space X certification. The role of the lander in tests played a heavy metal block, which is dropped from the cargo plane Lockheed C-130 Hercules. In the future, so the company plans to return astronauts to Earth from the International space station.
These tests are needed primarily to verify the reliability of the landing system. And although the Space X, while engineers use exclusively for landing parachutes, in the future it is possible that it will go repulsive the engines, without which it can not do when landing on a hard surface of other planets like Mars.
