South Korea close American 20 years on

SEOUL –

The 36-year-old John Patterson is Friday in the South Korean capital Seoul to a prison sentence of twenty years condemned.

The American was found guilty of the murder in 1997, but the 22-year-old Cho Joong-pil. The murder in a Burger-Kingrestaurant called at the time, huge negative emotions against American soldiers in South Korea were stationed.

The former military Patterson turned time back to the United States and went to Los Angeles to live. Initially it was in Korea a friend of him for the murder and convicted. That was released when it was determined that Patterson, the perpetrator had to be. That was by the U.S. handed over. In his condemnation in Seoul said Patterson that he was not the perpetrator.

The American escaped a lifetime, because he at the time of the murder not yet eighteen and therefore, according to the juvenile law, was convicted.
