Pick: Matchbox, Marjorette, Siku or Hot Wheels?

While we normally have two or more grotemensenauto opposite each other, we now go back to the base. Every car enthusiast had them and many still have them somewhere in a cabinet or cupboard. But what was once ‘your brand’?

I dare to say for sure that anyone with some regularity Autoblog visits, in his or her early years, was not a way to save on the rack with toy cars in the toy store or better supermarket (now just online). The choice of which you wanted to have played, of course, especially the brand and model of the car played a role, but the manufacturer of the miniature was perhaps just as important.

I myself had especially cars from Matchbox and Majorette in the collection, the more realistic instances. Ordinary cars, as they are also on the street reason, though it were the Ferrari’s and Porsches as well above average represented. A friend had a whole collection of Siku’s, and that was just larger and heavier cars were something to be jealous. Hot Wheels were not for me, too loud and unrealistic.

What was once your brand? For the oldies among us: Dinky, Corgi and Husky are also goedgerekend ;). And, of course, you also had a favorite, such as the pink Ford Capri with black bonnet Matchbox Superfast mine was. Strange really, because the cart was already by my father in his early years abused and was in a far state of decomposition. Apparently the small Dizono all of a fondness for of neglected classics. What was your favorite and why?
