Johanna Maria Quandt, the 89-year-old scion of a family of BMW-heirs, last Monday, died. Her family owns 46.8% of the BMW group.

The fairly reclusive living, Johanna Quandt was the widow of Herbert Quandt, BMW was in the 60s saved from bankruptcy. He died in 1982. Due to the strong growth of BMW, the Quandts from the richest family of Germany, with a rated power of approx. 31 billion euros. Johanna herself would be good for about 10 billion.
