France wants a Palestinian state to recognize

PARIS –

If it’s in the next few weeks unable to get to a two-state solution to the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, France will be a Palestinian state to recognize. That has the French Foreign Affairs minister Laurent Fabius said Friday.

,,France, will find in the next few weeks, preparations for an international conference to the two parties and their U.s., European and Arab partners to bring together, in particular to a two-state solution,” he said.

Fabius said that France as a permanent member of the UN Security council has a responsibility to keep trying to a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian issue, by two independent states to call out.
