It is apparently just too early for the Chiron to the public at large to show, and so has Bugatti, three existing models were taken to Pebble Beach, including this Type 55 1932 on Dutch registration.
The years’30-prize with chassis number 55208 is flanked by a Type 35 and Veyron Supersports. This successor to the Type 43 was in 1931 launched, with in the fore cabin, the engine of the Type 51. The engine, a 8 cylinder in-line, counts 2.262 cc and is relatively light. The entire structure with its 135-hp in less than 10 seconds from standstill to 100 km/h acceleration, 84 years ago, a considerable achievement.
Dutch or American owner?
Between 1932 and 1935, a total of 38 Type 55 built, these are 28 pieces in circulation. According to Bugatti this specific type since 2012 in the hands of the Mullin Automotive Museum in Oxnard, California, which is a bit strange is happening to us, because the RDW is claiming that the car on 5 december 2013 in the Netherlands is registered. The car has been exported.
2.1 million euros
A bargain is the Type 55 in no way, in 2008 released a similar update: it is exactly this copy at auction in Monte Carlo for €2.1 million.
In addition to the two classics at Pebble Beach, also a Veyron 16.4 Super Sport blue carbon, this ties in perfectly with the blue theme (not coincidentally, the ‘identity‘ of Bugatti).
Finally, Bugatti also a Type 57SC Corsica Roadster in Monterey, but this one is not on the photos. For what concerns the opvlger of the displayed Supersport, has Bugatti a mysterious videoteaser together doctored.
