The third generation of the A6 (internal factory code Type 4F) was introduced in 2004 on the C6 platform. In the vernacular of this type of A6 the A6 C6 is mentioned. It was the first A6 the single-frame grille, got that on the Audi A8 W12 debuted.
As the years went on, grew also the A6 back: the length has increased by 12 cm and the wheelbase was 8 inches longer. In the interior, the Audi MMI system (Multi Media Interface) that enables navigation, the optional adaptive air suspension and the climate control can be operated.
In 2008, the A6 C6 gefacelift and got the front LED daytime running lights. Almost simultaneously appeared the Audi RS6 with a 5.0-litre V10 biturbo FSI engine that has an awe-inspiring delivers 580 hp. Issues
- For the 2.0 TDI: the hexagon drive shaft for the oil pump that wears out and then floats the oil pump is not good. The balansassen at the Pompeduse (PD), the more recent common-rail engines, not the problem.
