Let the Victor Muller in your los and go on the pull with a legendary brand name. Who dares?

The owner of ATS, or Automobili Turismo e Sport, no longer makes sense to continue with the merkje. Since 2012, ATS is in the hands of one Gianluca Gregis (LinkedIn), and he promises for a while, cars like the ATS 300 Leggera and the ATS Sport 1000 Street. In the meantime, he is also started on a new automerkje, that his own name wear: Gregis Automobili, because he is quite proud of a brand with his own name. Literal quote: “I admire Horacio’s work and what he created in 20 years with his brand. He is now the benchmark for everyone in the sports cars market. I want to do the same!”. His first Gregis-creation is the december presented Leggera, shown below.

But Gregis is no Musk, and two ‘brands’ running is something that he doesn’t feel like it. Therefore, he wants to be able to focus completely on the Gregis Automobili, and ATS of the hand. In addition to the rights the buyer will receive all assets, but what that exactly is is not clear. Also the asking price is unknown.

ATS was originally started by, among others, Giotto Bizzarrini and Carlo Chiti, both of them walked out of Maranello after the great exodus at Ferrari in the sixties. Just as Feruccio L. they had the purpose to Ferrari to beat, with both street – as racing cars, but in 1965 went to the tent on the bottle. Until Gregis, in 2012, again a turn gave.

In short: a brand with a rich history and barely production cars. What could possibly go wrong?
