‘ATS buys rights to De Tomaso’

Attempts the bankrupt Italian toko De Tomaso to revive a stranded time and time again. The countryman ATS, known of o.a. the 300 Leggera, do work?

Lovers of De Tomaso must yet took refuge in the old Pantera’s and Mangusta’s, but also modernerniseringsprojecten as of the Ringbrothers keep the Italian wrist (weak) beating. The last attempt of Gian Mario Rossignolo turned out to be a Victorian castle in the sky, and also of the vague rumours about interest from BMW, we learned nothing more.

But now there is Automobili Turismo e Sport (ATS), a brand that, last year, new life was breathed into, and that meanwhile all three new models bore: the Sport 1000, 2500 GT and 300 Leggera. De Tomaso is the next object that the hungry should be fed, and according to our American namesake was the 2500 GT, sometimes gerebadged to a new Pantera.

Details will follow, and we will provide them with a mixture of interest and skepticism. Because what does ATS still show concretely? Understand, very little, and eventually you become still, settled on what you actually produces. Not that we all ambition directly in the bud like braising, of course, very there may be a nice revival.
