The Italian manufacturer Automobili Turismo e Sport (ATS) was last year breathed new life into it. Apparently it goes very well with them, because the third model is here.

After the devastating cool Sport 1000 street-racer and the ultra-stylish 2500 GT in 2012, it is time to revisit a classic design with modern technology to combine.

The 300 Leggera is a tribute to the Italian sports cars of the ’50s and ’60s. This means voluptuous curves, small squares, wire wheels, and, of course, a white circle around your bib number in to paste.

Just like the cars for inspiration were, the 300 Leggera is a lightweight. Only 650 kg, powered by a 1.6-liter turbo engine with slightly more than 200 hp. Extra interesting is the lack of traction control and remkrachtverdeler. Who quickly counts has already seen that the ‘300’ in the name stands for the power-to-weight ratio of 300 hp per ton.

Prices start at 30,000 euros, but this can quickly add up. Each instance is completely to the wishes of the customer, built. Early next year the first deliveries take place in Europe and America.
