Operator MTS has started to sell through own network of shops of mobile communication “Phone.ru” kit with SIM cards in the boxes, decorated in the style of operators competing. Initially, this discovery made by the blogger Timofey Vasilyev (ntv.livejournal.com), who discovered the boxes under tariffs Megaphone, Beeline and Tele2.
“Vedomosti” also confirmed this marketing step MTS. The correspondent of “Vedomosti” managed to take a picture of the prices of packaging design, similar in style to the design of MegaFon and Beeline.
Note that in the “Phone.ru” now includes some 200 showrooms, retail chain belongs to MTS since 2009. According to the representative of the operator Dmitry Solodovnikov, an MTS product are not all of the sets in “the Phone.ru”. So, some of the green boxes actually represent contracts with the operator of international SIM cards “Goodline” and the black / yellow offer services virtual operator “Teletie”, which, incidentally, works with a network of VimpelCom.
Why MTS and painted their boxes too, Solodovnikov explained, but stressed that the name of the operator is clearly seen on the SIM card and spelled out in the contract signed by the buyer.
