After months of waiting, Microsoft has started to update their smartphones to the new version of the mobile platform — Windows 10 Mobile. The first model, which was released the firmware update was Lumia 640 with LTE support.
Device purchased through T-Mobile operator in Poland will be able to upgrade in the next few days. Distribution update is performed by stages “over the air”. Firmware number — 02177.00000.15184.36002. Apparently, in other regions and other operators update will also be released pretty soon.
Recall, Microsoft originally promised that the update firmware to the latest version of Windows 10 Mobile smartphones based on Windows Phone 8 and 8.1 will be coming out in December 2015. But then it was decided to postpone the update until the beginning of 2016.
