Also BMW dives into the segment of large cars, with this “premium” 2-series Gran Tourer as a result.

After the widely acclaimed 2-series Active Tourer, it was time for a big brother with three rows of seats. Maybe not quite in line with the brand DNA that we of the Bavarian boys to know, but since it was mainly older people that today is the day (private) to buy a new car is not a very strange choice. That also explains why this Gran Tourer is no rear-wheel drive and the 2-series Plasmat wars of sportsmanship.

The Gran Tourer (here leaked) comes with five different engines, with three or four cylinders, in capacity range from 116 to 192 hp. The consumption amounts to 4,1-6,4 l/100km and per kilometre broke the power sources 108 to 149 CO2. The larger engine variants are also available with xDrive, so the Gran Tourer is also a great companion in winter.

In terms of luggage space, the Gran Tourer is no small boy. With the three rows of seats folded up with the boot of 500 litres, but that can be increased to 620 (rear row of seats folded down), or even to 1820 litres with all rows of seats folded down. A set of walkers or oxygen supplies is no excuse for this Bimmer at the dealer.
