Looks like it’s time to introduce a new rule: if there is any material, somewhere in the world will make working on it a 3D printer. Company Mcor at CES unveiled a new 3D printer Mcor Arke, which creates colorful and recyclable objects.

This is not the first “paper” printer company, but it is considerably smaller and cheaper than the flagship model, Iris HD. The price of new items will be only $ 5995, and weighs less than 50 pounds. For comparison, the Iris HD is from 36 to 47 400 $ 600 and weighs over 150 pounds.

Since the main material used is paper, the printing cost is also greatly reduced. Mcor claims that their paper is worth only 10-20 percent of the standard nylon or rubber materials for print and it is fully biodegradable.

Mcor Arke will be on sale in the second quarter of 2016. The company has already received more than two and a half thousand pre-orders for this 3D printer.
