At CES 2016, which runs from 6 to 9 January in Las Vegas, Netflix announced international expansion in more than 130 countries, including Russia.
We will remind, before new year’s Edition of “Izvestia” announced the imminent release of the largest American online cinema Netflix on Russian expanses. It was expected that Netflix will begin its work in Russia in January 2016. As we have seen, these rumors is quite justified.
In most countries, Netflix is currently available in English, in addition to it has added Arabic, Korean, traditional and simplified Chinese, all already supported 17 languages. According to the head of Netflix, the service team will gradually introduce more languages. It is also noted that Netflix is not yet available in China, but the team is looking for ways to agree. While in Crimea, North Korea, and Syria, the service is not available due to restrictions by the U.S. government.
As we can see in the screenshot, in Russia already offered the prices in roubles, although the interface is still in English. Subscription is 649, 799 949 or rubles, depending on selected options.
Thus, Netflix now operates in 190 countries around the world. Online cinema is available on a variety of devices such as smart TVs, smartphones and tablets based on Windows Phone, Android and iOS, Windows PC and OS X, games consoles. Among all of the content Netflix offers subscribers a number of its own series, including the famous “house of Cards” and marvelesque “Daredevil” and “Jessica Jones”.
