CES 2016: Business laptop Acer TravelMate P648 supports Wi-Fi standard 802.11 ad

Acer has announced at CES 2016, which runs from 6 to 9 January in Las Vegas, the laptop TravelMate P648, focused on business users. According to the manufacturer, the world’s first laptop with support for the new Wi-Fi standard — 802.11 ad, also known as WiGig. The 802.11 ad specification provides for the use of unlicensed frequency band GHz band and support speeds up to 4.6 Gbps.

Acer TravelMate P648 equipped with 14-inch IPS-display with a resolution of Full HD, Intel Core i3, i5 or i7 processor of the sixth generation, up to 24 GB of RAM, graphics up to NVIDIA GeForce 940M, 2 GB RAM, up to 1TB hard drive or up to 512 SSD.

Laptop Acer TravelMate P648 will go on sale in April priced from $799,99 in North America and from 999 euros in EMEA (Europe, middle East and Africa).
