Ferrari los van Fiat
After 47 years, Ferrari on its own legs and it is cut loose from the large Fiat group. Or actually, FCA, such as the group, under the leadership of Sergio Marchionne officially called.

Just a small recap. In 1969, buy Fiat for 50 percent in at Ferrari, because a few years earlier, at the last moment an acquisition by Ford of compatibility. In 1988, the share increases to 90 percent, the remaining 10 percent remain in the hands of son Piero Ferrari.

In the summer of last year announced that Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, however, the profitable Ferrari disconnect from the rest of the group. Ten percent of the shares in Ferrari since October freely traded on the New York stock exchange through a so called IPO (initial public offering), while as of today the remaining 80 percent of shares of FCA are divided among its shareholders. For every ten shares FCA, was given the shareholders one share of Ferrari. The other ten percent will remain in the hands of Piero, who the vice president is in addition to FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne, who as yet also remains as the top boss at Ferrari. Today were at the Milan fair for the first time officially shares in the stand-alone Ferrari traded. The opening price was 43 euros, then fell to the share as the way to 41,50 but closed just to 43.67 euros. A little owner of the Ferrari was never so cheap.

Fiat family Agnelli is a large shareholder in FCA and is now in Ferrari. Together with Piero Ferrari, they have a very large interest of 48.7% in the sports car manufacturer and the families are all agreed that it is important to use to their influence to bear on the policy. An absolute majority, they have not, but it is enough to, for example, an acquisition of Ferrari.

Incidentally, now that we’re on the Ferrari and shares, there is officially acted in the company Ferrari N. V., either Ferrari Limited liability Company. That sounds very Dutch, and that is also, for financial reasons the company is officially based in the Netherlands, has already done all the magic, of course, still in Maranello.
