Huawei has started the update of the smartphone Honor 7 to the latest version of Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Apparently, at the moment the update is only available for users in India and requires to fill out a registration form.
According to the manufacturer, a firmware update will come to the device “over the air” after a day or two after registration. It is also worth noting that so far this firmware has the status of beta and fully stable release is expected in late January 2016.The firmware includes a new version of proprietary shell EMUI 4.0.
Recall, Huawei Honor 7 was introduced in the summer of 2015 and initially runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with a proprietary interface EMUI 3.1. Not so long ago Huawei introduced in China smartphone Honor 7 Enhanced Edition, which immediately running the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow with a proprietary shell EMUI 4.0.
