A camperrijdende creative person asked himself the question: ‘do I want more or less diesel in my house on wheels able to transport?’

He chose the first, and placed a 200 litre tank in his Mercedes camper from 1990. However, just over the border in Winschoten, he walked yesterday on the A31 at a traffic control of the German police. And that was not agree with his brandstofopslagconstructie, which is under the metal frame of his bed was placed. Maybe the fact that the tank with a garden hose to the diesel engine was linked there also something to do with it.

CLose-up of the zelfbouwtank. Solid welding. Correct hose clamps used. We do not see the problem.

The 36-year-old Dutchman wanted to go to Sweden to emigrate, that is the message from the German police that the camper as a ‘moving bomb’ describes, and had all his possessions taken. Including a Valmet tractor, on a trailer behind the camper was transported. In the trailer, the police discovered five of the six tires only no profile. Slicks! There were also roestgaten in the bars, but or him that is billed as a technical malheur is not known. On the photos to see the rust damage not disastrous. The tires on the other hand….

His vehicle annex property is seized, as well as the trailer. The guy got a pile of fines issued. Whether he is now in Sweden is not known.

With thanks to Laurens for the tip!
