On 24 and 25 march in The Hague the Nuclear Security Summit, an event where 58 world leaders, the 5,000 delegates and 3,000 journalists come together to look at how the world the amount of nuclear material can reduce.
A result of this meeting extraordinair: you can those two days better to stay at home, if you are in the Randstad lives.
The nuclear summit is the largest police operation in the Netherlands has ever known. There are 13.000 agents used, four times as much as in the succession to the throne last year. Countries such as America and Russia put quite a bit of safety, that’s why. The NRC is set out what these measures all entail, we focus on the traffic conditions on 23, 24 and 25 march.
Highways close
The following restrictions apply from 23 march 16.00 hrs until 24 march, 15.00 hrs, and from 25 march 13.00 to 26 march 05: 00. A number of A-roads go on those two days, in whole or in part on lock. The A5 is completely closed, on the A4, this is limited to a number of lanes between Burgerveen and Badhoevedorp. The N14 and the N440 at The Hague all the way down and on the A44 and N44 is the way in one direction to close.
The leaders are from amsterdam Schiphol airport to Den Haag is transported about the closed roads. Also, these vehicles have a separate kentekenserie fitted. After the illuminatiebijeenkomst they go over the same roads back, which the AGENCY quite a number of cars on the voucher can swing due to spookrijden. But that will not happen…
The opinion of the Rws-director says:
“The advice is to be on Monday 24 and Tuesday 25 march are not to this part of the Randstad, but if people do not necessarily have to be. Try elsewhere or to work at home.”
You hear that, truckers and couriers? Try to be nice to work at home. Anyway, below is a map of the measures on the road. (.pdf)
