Consultation EU-Moscow on trade Ukraine failed

BRUSSELS –

Calls from the EU, Russia and Ukraine about the upcoming close trade relations between Kiev and Brussels have yielded nothing. After a year and a half of attempts, the Russian concerns about the European-Ukrainian trade agreement, Monday, to conclude that the talks failed.

This is reported by the European Commissioner for Trade, Cecilia Malmström, on Monday after a meeting with the Ukrainian Foreign minister, Pavlo Klimkim, and the Russian minister for Economic Development, Alexei Oeljoekajev.

The previously closed trade occurs in 1 of January in force. That is the Russian objections two years later than first planned. The Kremlin is angry that the EU sanctions against Russia maintains with Ukraine economic ties tightening.

Monday, the EU confirmed that the economic sanctions against Russia and a half years to be extended. Russia takes measures against Ukraine, such as a stop on the imports of Ukrainian foodstuffs. The free trade between Russia and Ukraine means 1 January to existence, announced the Kremlin.
