Former president suspected of murder of president

OUAGADOUGOU –

Justice in Burkina Faso, almost three decades after the assassination of president Thomas Sankara finally hunting the perpetrators. Against the main defendant is now an international arrest warrant issued: former president Blaise Compaoré.

The murder of Sankara was one of the most notorious political murders of the past decades in Africa have been committed. After the murder in 1987, Compaoré over power in the West African country.
