Volkswagen Golf 370R on arrival, at least…

One of our readers spotted during a werktripje the above label on a box. That can only mean one thing right?

The Volkswagen Golf R has it not easy in superhatch-country. Where the fastest Wave to do with 300 horsepower, the Audi RS3 367 horses to mobilize, the A45 AMG makes 381 hp and even Ford with the Focus RS (350 hp) the Wolfsburgers too quickly. Volkswagen now seems to want to offer with the Golf 370R.

At least that is what we expect after seeing the above label. One of our readers is to work with a supplier in Bosnia and spotted this box. According to him, filled with chairs for this new über-Golf will be made. Or Volkswagen this 370 horses from the four-cylinder turbo know to squeeze, or that they are simply the 367 hp five cylinder from the Audi RS3 in the Golf scoop up, remains a guess.

About guess spoken, it is at all, but the question of whether the Gulf 370R not a stillborn child is going to be. Volkswagen is in heavy times, and has already announced to go skimp on R&D and non-required models to postpone or even to blow up. This Golf 370R should be seen as an image builder, and so it can just be a victim of dieselgate. If the most powerful Golf ever yet come on the market, then you know where you first heard!

Update 2: a reaguursel tells us that 370R the internal name of VW for the Golf 7. Busted?
