Gooding & Co knew this year with several classics are record breaking. Let’s look back.
The American company attracts annually by the states of the USA to veilingfeestjes to keep. This year, they have a very thick plus write it down. The auctioneers have for a total of 206,5 million dollars in the classic autospul sold. Wow.
More than 44 candies went for at least $ 1 million under the hammer. Outliers are the Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider from 1961 (16.8 million) and a 250 GT SWB Berlinetta Special from 1962 (16.5 million). Earlier this year I was a real 250 GT behold in Dusseldorf. Ultimately I have far too few pictures of the shot, but that aside.
The auctioned Berlinetta belonged to the selection recordbrekers. Also a Porsche 956 from 1982, which for 10.1 million dollars was sold, was a new peak. The largest profit the company achieved on the Pebble Beach auction. Here knew Gooding & Co for us $ 128 million of classic cars to wear out. Almost all considered classics found their way to a new home. Only 14 copies of the 129 cars remained.
The next big auction of the company will be held next year on 29 and 30 January, in Scottsdale Fashion Square to Old Town Scottsdale, Arizona. The company involves, among others, a Ferrari 275 GTB (1966), and a Mercedes 300 SL Roadster 1959 auction.
