Chevrolet Corvette SR-2
You can ‘m soon to your collection add: the first car from the stable of the Corvette.

We’re talking about the Chevrolet Corvette SR-2, a racing car from 1956. This is special, because there were only three made and this is also the first. Unfortunately, this is also reflected in the price, as ‘Corvette Mike‘ is expected about 7 million dollars on to get.

The SR-2 came out of the sleeve of Harley Earl and Zora Arkus-Duntov, two absolute Corvette icons. The first was for the Earl’s son Jerry, the second one for his assistant Bill Mitchell and the third for Harlow Curtice, the big boss of GM. Porsche and Ferrari were not yet defeated, but we don’t need no one to tell that to Chevrolet and Corvette now an impressive roll of honour have accumulated in the motorsport.

Finally found this copy on Jim Jeffords, who, like Arkus-Duntov his signature left behind on the (Dutch?) flag on the fin. The car has been completely restored and if you have no 7 million dollar bag, then you ‘m between 12 and 14 January are still really contemplate. Then the car namely to see at the Scottsdale Sport & Classic Autocars.
