Overgerestaureerde oldies, we already have often enough over bikes, time for an interview.

More original than this cart is almost not even the first coat of paint is still there. However, 1.984 CC, four-cylinder engine (à 170+ hp) under the hood thoroughly restored, so a careful ride should not be a problem. The director is old-fashioned stir thanks to a manual vijfbak. Remmerij is also a point of attention, with drum brakes all around.

But that’s part of it. For the lover of the modern stuff, it is perhaps surprising that this vintage with a modest viercilindertje does, but Ferrari has in its younger years is more handsome but in terms of engine capacity is fairly modest motors built.

This specific 500 Mondial was initially sold to the Frenchman Yves Dupont (hence the paint in the French racekleur blue, à la Bugatti). After two races was the car returned to the factory for a thorough overhaul. Dupont the car would never pick up and so continued to the 500 Mondial about 10 years in Maranello.

Then the Ferrari yet again sold, and after several owners, ended up the beauty in the hands of a British collector who is now the hand does. RM Auctions makes no representations about estimates, but go out of a miljoentje or what. You would ‘t sure about?
