Chief chief-design at VW, Walter de Silva, has his stuff packed at the German carmaker.

The 65-year-old designbaas was already quite a few years in service with the group. In 1999 began his VAG-adventure at Seat. Or the husband actually retires, or somewhere else with his pencil to play, is not yet known.

De Silva was previously employed by the Fiat group where, among others, this Alfa Romeo Proteo concept drawn by his hand. A more recent design is the widely acclaimed Audi A5 (finest design). Fortunately, was the designer responsible for the appearance of this Bugatti Veyron.

Walter Maria de Silva (64), Head of Group Design, is retiring with effect from the end of November. The Silva assumed design responsibility for all passenger car brands within the Volkswagen Group in February 2007. Walter de Silva will continue his links with the Group in an advisory capacity.
