With the arrival of the Ferrari 458 (portion of chips) Special was on the editorial the debate on the somewhat uncreative, or downright bad model names that manufacturers use. What model name may you directly into the trash can, and which manufacturer is the largest cooperate?

A name is but a name, but it is still the business card of your product. A lot of manufacturers play it safe, and use letter/number combinations, that’s so neutral. Another safe bet is the dusting of the model names that in a (far) past, were conducted. Usually takes that great (Phantom, Ghost), sometimes it is downright confusing (think of the Mitsubishi solution Space Star).

And then there is the category of completely new names as a pair of pliers on a pig store: Ritz, Mocha (the name Adam begins to get used to, I must say), or Picanto, to name but a few. These are modern types, but in the past we had, of course, also the Croma *gniffel*.

But let’s not all voorkauwen. Which of the existing model name, had you really never choose, if you had, and which brand can be a modelnaamstrateeg use? The lines are open!
