‘Entry-level Audi R8 will have 2.5 TFSI from RS3’

Turbo, everything and everyone.

It was already known that the entry-level R8 will feature a turbo-engine. What block this is going to be, is still unknown. Autoexpress writes, according to sources from Ingolstadt, about an R8 with the well-known five cylinder that is currently in the RS3 is delivered.

The R8 V10 produces 540 hp and the V10 Plus with 610 pieces. Enough to you in less than 10 seconds to the 200 km/h to launch. To the entry-level R8 a more unique ‘supercar’, the TFSI-block may get support from an electric motor.

In the current RS3 know Audi 367 hp to peuren from the vijfpitter. Presumably, the turbo-R8 between the 400 and the 500 hp. The current E-Tron model delivers 460 hp with a monsterkoppel of 920 Nm. Perhaps the entry-level model is a cross between both worlds?
