VW is a higher CO2-tax refund to customers in EU [updated]

As the European Union, as a result of the CO2-tampering, the load will increase on the relevant VAG models Volkswagen prepared the costs.

This includes the previously mentioned the 800,000 affected cars in Europe. Because the CO2-emissions is higher than Volkswagen did believe, it is possible that the motorrijtuigenbelastingen on the affected models increased.

In a letter addressed to the European Union, says Volkswagen CEO Matthias Müller is responsible for any tax consequences with respect to the manipulated CO2 emissions. It applies to cars registered from 1 July 2009.

In addition to the measure, argued that the Dutch government last Thursday for the recovery of VAG’s benefit on the specific models.
