Second-hand ambulances appear for a few euros to find on the internet. And that is with the eye to terrorism on its mildly awkward, according to security experts.
It is really simple to get an ambulance to buy with working sirens and flashing lights. For between 5,000 and 10,000 euros, you can take one on the head, tapping through sites such as Marktplaats.nl. And although the cars in particular are intended for export, they are also sometimes sold to Dutch that, for example, a motorhome.
Is with the sale of second-hand ambulances nothing wrong, but considering the recent terrorist threats in Europe is awkward. An ambulance is a perfect cover-up for terrorists or explosives to hide and move. This was probably also the case with the planned attack on the stadium in Hanover, where the German national soccer team against the Netherlands would record for a practice.
Safety experts warn against the AD for the risks. Although selling parties the cars should get rid of stickers, sirens and flashing lights, turns out, in practice this often does not happen.
UPDATE: the ambulanceverhaal is a part of the internet dismissed as a hoax. I didn’t know, doesn’t matter. It changes nothing to the fact that it is a perfect cover-up could be. The title I have slightly modified (“apparent” is added) as the security expert in the article of the AD is based on something not proven seems to be.
