Opel Ampera – 7% of list price
The Opel Ampera and sister model Chevrolet Volt were a big step in technology for General Motors. This Extended Range Electric Vehicles (E-REV) are in principle always electric powered, but can get assistance from an internal combustion engine at high speeds or when the battery is low. That last happened incidentally, it is only after 80 kilometres of electric driving. With the 6 meter long charging cable with the battery via the electrical outlet to be charged, which takes 4 hours to complete a normal connection.
The performances are not exciting, but good. The electric motor delivers 150 hp and 370 Nm of torque, enabling a sprint to the 100 km/h in 9 seconds. Because the maximum torque from standstill available, feel the Ampera smoothly, and at times even “nauseous” to quickly.

– a lot of buttons on the dashboard
– rubber lip under the front bumper scrapes over speed bumps
– chairs are not really ergonomic
– limited space for rear passengers
