Joop Donkervoort kicks 2015 perfectly. This is the D8 GTO Bilster Berg Edition.
On the asphalt of the Bilster Berg circuit took Donkervoort last year’s record for street-legal production cars. This ‘success‘ have the professionals from Lelystad now implemented in a special version of the D8 GTO, which there are not more than 14 are made.
The biggest difference compared to the regular D8 GTO sitting at the front. The carbon-fibre built nose has a new look and comes in black. further distinctive features are the badges and a nameplate on the dashboard, with the serial number and the name of the Donky-owner. Furthermore there is a new LCD screen posted.
More important are the changes under the skin. Donkervoort has new dampers Intrax installed and a stiffer roll cage for more torsional stiffness placed. Also is there a rear anti-roll bar have been added. Adjustments, which they summarize as the Performance Plus package, and the D8 GTO on semi-slicks from Hankook tighter bends should let it slide.
The 2.5-liter TFSI engine was also a little bit tickled. There was a lighter flywheel fitted (-10 kg), so the throttle response is improved. The ability of the five cylinder remains at 380 hp and the 100 km/h sprint is still a 2.8 count in attachment.
Costs for this circuitwaardige ode to a German circuit: 194.000 euro.
