Audi TT quattro sport concept: is there a TT Ultra?

Your first thought upon seeing the TT quattro sport concept from Audi was probably “TT-RS”, but that would mean that the five cylinder is going to disappear. What if this is the harbinger of a model next to the TT RS?

Nothing is certain in autoland, and also the five cylinder in the cabin of a future Audi TT-RS. Downsizing is huge at the moment and the TT quattro concept that Audi this week revealed it was equipped with a four-cylinder 2.0 TFSI with 420 hp. That you could interpret as a hint that the next TT RS will no longer be equipped with a five – but with a four-cylinder engine block but that would be a delicious liefhebbersmotor lost.

However, it would also be that Audi with this concept alludes to something else. One turn namely also enormous to weight reduction with this concept and the Audi Ultra models fly us currently to the ears. At Wörthersee last year, we saw even something on this concept seems to be: the Audi TT Ultra Quattro is a lightweight concept based on the previous TT. Weight savings is nice but it has never been a real spearhead of Audi’s Quattro GmbH, the RS models. Could it be that Audi is working on several sporting variants of the Audi TT?

To this thought a little more to clarify it might be good to have to make a comparison with the Porsche 911. If the TT RS, the Porsche 911 Turbo is, would Audi even be room for a sort of 911 GT3: the Audi TT Ultra (Quattro?) that is lighter and more circuitgeoriënteerd, for example, with a roll cage (like in this concept) and lack of luxury on board? Such a crazy idea is that not right?

What do you think? Could it be that the Audi TT range is further extended with a TT Ultra?
